Job Description:

The Recruitment and Capacity Building AmeriCorps member will serve with the AmeriCorps Program Manager to enhance AmeriCorps recruitment, training and member experience. The member will streamline recruitment materials and use the program’s recruitment plan to market available positions in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Make a running list of local job/college fairs
  • Research and compile a list of untapped organizations to partner with for AmeriCorps recruitment, including organizations focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion for the program.
  • Create one professional recruitment video utilizing current and/or former members
  • Accompany Program Manager to recruiting events
  • Develop internal recruitment management processes for applicant and onboarding communication
  • Create a survey to determine motivations for service for current members and alumni for purposes of recruitment and program development
  • Generate a minimum of 35 completed Youth Corps applications
  • Member Experience & Training
  • Organize and execute a monthly professional development training opportunity for members\Create planning and satisfaction surveys around member trainings, including orientation and Life After AmeriCorps

Requirements:

  • Completed or working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design or Volunteer Management
  • Highly skilled at Microsoft Office applications
  • Familiarity with Canvaa, Movie Maker, iMovie or Adobe software desired
  • Well versed in social media platform
