Position Title: Assistant Merchandiser

Job Description

As an Assistant Merchandiser, you’ll be responsible for supporting the delivery of customer focussed product ranges in order to successfully achieve sales, profit, margin and stock targets, through the merchandising of a range or product category. Using exceptional planning and organisational skills, you’ll achieve key milestones to ensure operational excellence at every touch point with the customer.

Responsibilities:

  • With support of the Merchandiser/Senior Merchandiser, review weekly trading performance and to identify any issues and opportunities, prepare relevant analysis as required
  • Demonstrate high levels of process compliance and data integrity
  • Assist the Merchandiser in implementing all aspects of the department strategy to deliver KPIs including sales, profit targets, stock and availability
  • Identifying where system parameters can be adapted to maximise availability and stock efficiencies.
  • Oversee timely delivery of stock into the warehouse, to maximise availability in line with agreed KPI’s and timelines for all channels
  • Assist Merchandiser/ Senior Merchandiser to ensure on-time delivery through supporting the achievement of merchandising milestones within the critical path, ensuring any issues are resolved or raised where appropriate.
  • Effectively influence and manage suppliers.
  • Complete attribute analysis to support the Merchandiser in trading and planning activities.
  • Own and manage category/range & SKU level forecasts to ensure sales, stock holding, margin and availability is optimised
  • Work with the A&R replenishment assistant to plan initial allocations & launch builds & ensure that stock & availability targets are met.
  • Responsible for order management in line with agreed parameters.
  • Provide great customer service to store colleagues through speedy resolution of trading queries
  • Understanding and use of the merchandising systems in the management of intake and the stock position
