Position Title:Senior Applications Analyst

Job Description:
The City’s IT department connects Carlsbad by delivering innovative technologies to internal and external customers. The department needs leading-edge Senior Applications Analysts to help the City leverage technology to improve business processes, increase productivity and support civic engagement. These positions partner with business units within the City to recommend, install/integrate, test, maintain and monitor the performance of software products and provide technical support to end-users and/or Business Systems Specialists in a multi-client, multi-vendor software environment. Responsibilities include conferring with end-users to determine types of hardware and software required and providing or assisting with training in the use of equipment and software.

Requirements:
- Dynamic programming languages
- Enterprise network infrastructure environment
- Database concepts including design, tables, queries, functions, modules, reports and ODBC
- Relational databases
- Application development such as system analysis and software development lifecycle
