Job Description:

This is a great opportunity for a junior UX/UI product designer to develop their product design skills within a global saas organisation. You should demonstrate to have a highly creative spark that can grow and be nurtured within the company whilst working within a squad to develop and enhance a product.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with Senior UX/UI designer, product managers and other relevant business owners throughout the product lifecycle from initial explorations to final design
  • Continuously enhance knowledge and keep up with emerging trends in design
  • Communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale and the specifics of user-centred design process to cross functional delivery teams and stakeholders
  • Translate product requirements into brilliant visual design solutions
  • Work with delivery teams as needed to support designs being developed
  • Adhere to our design principles, design systems
  • Create prototypes that can be rapidly shared with clients and/or customers for user testing and take part in user testing sessions when required
  • Liaise with engineers to support feature development and provide handoff

Requirements:

  • Keen to learn and develop from senior designers
  • Have the ability to communicate concepts and designs through sketches, wireframes, high fidelity comps and prototypes
  • Basic knowledge of research methods
  • General knowledge of design software – Figma, Adobe, Miro
  • Keen to peer review with other designers and collaborate in a multi-functional team but also can work comfortably on their own
  • Basic knowledge of UX/UI best practices and design principles covering web standards, layouts, typography, colour and web usability standards
  • Keeps up to date with latest trends – UX, UI, product, market place
  • General understanding of web standards and layouts, typography and colour, and web usability standards
  • Basic knowledge of design processes and working practices (e.g. Design thinking, UX, Lean-Agile methodology)
