Job Description:

Numerous exciting and challenging opportunities have arisen to join the Learning Disability Day Services for Worcestershire County Council in the above areas on a Fixed Term Contract.The services support individuals with very complex physical, mental health, learning disabilities and other related needs, which incorporate health action plans, eating and drinking plans, behaviour management plans and epilepsy.  Personal Care and dignity.  Some mobile, some in wheelchairs so moving and handling will be heavier at times.  Support to engage in meaningful activities that are person centred including engaging with the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Good recording skills are essential. Computer skills advantageous.
  • Previous experience of supporting people with care and support needs would be an advantage; however an understanding of the needs and rights of people with learning disabilities is essential.
  • We welcome applications from people who are able to use their own initiative but who are also excellent Team players.
  • You will have a can-do attitude with an ability to support and enable individuals to access a wide range of community activities.
  • You will need to be flexible and enthusiastic, with an ability to communicate both verbally and written.In return we will offer you full training.

Requirements:

  • Administering grantsEnsuring compliance with, and working within the regulations of funding requirements, such as ERDF.
  •  UK Community Renewal FundAssisting with procurement and working closely with service providers e.g. contracted energy advisorsDay-to-day communication with businesses/public & third sector organisations and project partners Assisting .
  • with the planning and delivery of events and marketing of programmes.
