Position Title:Senior UX/UI Designer

Job Description:

We are looking for a talented mid/senior UX/UI Product Designer to join the Product design & UX team. The role entails working alongside the Product manager within an agile squad environment to iterative conceive, prototype, build, deliver and test new features and functionality within the product.

Responsibilities:

  • Create prototypes to demonstrate new features – with an ability to iterate on designs rapidly
  • Support the evolution of the Tes design system (Pencilcase)
  • Have strong understanding of available technologies and knowledge of CSS and front-end technologies
  • Be an advocate in UX design and participant in the Tes Design Club
  • Liaise with engineers to support feature development and provide handoff
  • Adhere to our design principles, design systems
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high quality work under tight timelines
  • Plan and conduct UX research to understand user needs and synthesize research into actionable insights
  • Proactively looking for opportunities to improve the UX/UI within the dedicated product
  • Display a good knowledge of user experience, user interface and visual design
  • Use quantitative data to inform design decisions and present this back to the stakeholder
  • Translate product requirements into brilliant visual design solutions
  • Demonstrate your design thinking process within an agile environment

Requirements:

  • Preferred degree/certificate/training in the relevant field, or previous experience working within a
  • UX/UI product design role
  • Have the ability to communicate concepts and designs through sketches, wireframes, high fidelity comps and prototypes
  • Knowledge of design processes and working practices (eg Design thinking, UX, Lean-Agile, Scrum methodology)
  • Strong knowledge of UX research methods
  • Strong understanding of UX/UI best practices, design principles and web standards
  • Experience with responsive layout and mobile design
  • Knowledge of developing design systems
  • Experience with visual and interaction design tools – Figma, Adobe, Miro
  • Keen to peer review with other designers and collaborate in a multi-functional team but also can work comfortably on their own
