Job Description:

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced full time Social Worker to work with young people between the ages of 10-18 who are considered at risk of Child Exploitation on an intitial12 month fixed term contract basis.

Responsibilities:

  • We are a vibrant, diverse and highly efficient multi-agency team who work with young people that have been or at risk of being exploited.
  • With low caseloads, our social workers, youth workers and children and families workers have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with young people to support them in making positive life choices, increased awareness in terms of healthy relationships, self-respect, wellbeing, dealing with other and thinking about people’s feelings.
  • Our Social Workers work closely with Police, Youth Offending Team, Health Practitioners and education to initiate attitudinal change, behaviour change, that there will be a reduction in offending and reoffending behaviour linked to a reduction in Police intelligence, reduced remand figures, higher engagement with Youth offending orders, young people no longer associating with gangs, reduction in missing episodes, engagement in education/employment and improved relationships within home environments.

Requirements:

  • You will need to have a recognised professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/BSc in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or CQSW) and Social Work England registration with experience in working with looked after children, child protection, court proceedings and completing assessments within timescales.
