Position Title: ctcLink Faculty Advocate

Job Description:

The ctcLink Faculty Advocate is a temporary special assignment from September 13, 2021 through March 18, 2022. The ctcLink Faculty Advocate will become a subject matter expert (SME) in the features that Bellevue College’s faculty members will use in Peoplesoft (ctcLink). The role of this special assignment will be to facilitate organizational change and provide training and support for faculty members remotely and/or in person during the transition to ctcLink. As a SME, the Faculty Advocate will help other faculty members through the implementation of ctcLink and assist with creation of reusable materials that can be used in the future for onboarding new faculty and students to ctcLink. This position will also assist with creating and delivering presentations across multiple instructional divisions. There are three Faculty Advocate positions available.

Responsibilities:

  • Communicate faculty perspectives and issues related to ctcLink to the ctcLink Leadership team
  • Complete advanced online ctcLink training courses provided by the SBCTC and/or Canvas
  • Attend specified instructor-led training sessions in January and February 2022
  • Participate in Go-Live preparation activities, including Dry Run during September 2021
  • Assist with User Acceptance Testing (if needed)
  • Provide ctcLink training and support for faculty before and after Go-Live October 2021 through February 2022.
  • Be a resource for other faculty members to maximize ctcLink tools and resources
  • Create reusable ctcLink introduction materials and instructions for faculty to use in their classes for onboarding students to ctcLink
  • Create and deliver informational presentations at Division Meetings and other meetings as needed

Requirements:

  • Teaching experience (at least three quarters at Bellevue College)
  • Must be scheduled to teach at least one class during Fall and reasonable expectation to teach in Winter quarter 2022
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead organizational change
  • Demonstrated ability to work productively with faculty peers across campus
  • Previous experience launching ctcLink
  • Previous experience using ctcLink
  • Experience developing how-to materials and workshops
  • Experience teaching technology remotely
