Position Title: Biodiversity Technical Officer

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

  • This is an exciting opportunity to be in the heart of managing and maintaining our flood and coastal risk assets. We are looking for people with transferable skills who are keen to make a difference to the environment and people in the South West. We welcome applicants who are looking to learn more about Asset Management and Operations.
  • The successful applicant will be an integral member of our Strategy and Support team. You will work alongside three other Support Assistants and will be provided with all the training, help and support you require
  • .Good communication skills are vital as you will be interacting with internal teams and customers. You will be a team player who is happy to use their initiative working autonomously but equally happy taking direction and providing support.
  • Excellent computer, data and mapping skills would be an advantage, along with a willingness to learn new computer systems and IT.
  • Typical duties include providing flood risk reports, using asset databases and spreadsheets, responding to enquiries from teams/customers, data entry, improvement & management, providing administrative support to senior team members, setting up meetings and minute taking and providing financial support.
