However the team does more than just focus on the numbers, and are responsible for ensuring that we’re appropriately challenging our business decisions, ensuring we have the right controls, ensure that we understand the accounting impact of large scale business transactions and then telling the story behind the numbers to the appropriate partners.
The remit is broad, touching on many different aspects of the business. This involves working closely with both Finance and non-Finance senior management, internal and external auditors to ensure our numbers are accurate.
Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly journals
- Maintenance of corporate accruals balance sheet account
- Preparation of month end analysis file
- Understand and advise on technical accounting (UK/ US GAAP) and reporting
- CoA owner and maintenance
- Supporting the team with month end close processes
- Analysis of multiple P&L lines
