Job Description:

The role will include managing the delivery of History at KS3, GCSE and A-level across year groups 7 to 13. You will lead your department to enhance provision and will get the chance to lead on exciting project work throughout the year. Project work may include revising schemes of work and ensuring the curriculum is engaging to all learners alongside projects that support student attainment, well-being and engagement within the wider school. However, as Head of Department you will have full autonomy to ensure your department meets targets and exceeds needs of our learners. You will lead by example, supporting and empowering your department’s teachers, staff and pupils to achieve to the best of their ability.

The Head of Department will also line manage the History department, supporting the SLT link and Headteacher to ensure the department achieve to its maximum potential.

Responsibilities:

  • Outbound prospect into existing TES customers to build a pipeline of upsell and cross-sell leads for the UK and International Account Managers.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of leads into the sales funnel applying consistent sales process and methodology.
  • Manage, update, and always maintain CRM
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, annual revenue targets and other critical success metrics
  • Initial qualification of inbound queries – then passing over to the relevant seller, ensuring high accuracy levels of qualification in or out.
  • Outbound prospect into non-customers (white-space) to build a pipeline of quality leads for the
  • UK and International new business teams.
  • Build and maintain a good level of product knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Good influencing skills – you will make an immediate and lasting impression on others, you will be able to adjust your style to meet the needs of different customers.
  • Ability to approach things in a clear step by step way.
  • Tenacity and dogged determination – the ability to keep going in the face of rejection.
  • The ability to close in a sales environment – asking for and gaining commitment to a next step.
  • The ability to quickly understand the market and customer base – allowing you to understand what keeps different stakeholders up at night.
  • Experience in an outbound prospecting role with some evidence of exceeding lead targets is desirable but not essential.
  • Thrives under pressure, monitors own performance against set goals.
  • Aptitude and confidence to deal with different types of stakeholder and varying degrees of seniority.
  • Excellent oral communication and verbal reasoning skills – an ability to build rapport quickly, ask insightful questions, great listening skills, the ability to be able to handle and deflect objections.
