Position Title: Driver Mentor

Job Description:

We are looking for a Trainer Instructor to join our team and be a mentor for our colleagues. As part of our induction process you will coach and support new colleagues and enable them to bring a real positive customer experience whilst remaining safe at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Coach, develop and train all new starters and existing staff in customer service, technical and behavioural skills.
  • Able to vary delivery methods and techniques depending on needs of audience.
  • Support the Training Manager to develop and maintain training material to support the delivery of induction training.
  • To meet Wincanton customer service standards by remaining courteous, professional and polite always.
  • Update training records accurately on computerised technology, file sign off sheets to agreed standards.
  • Contribute to the overall achievement of the site service levels by achieving agreed personal targets.
  • Be a constructive and positive communicator.
  • Be familiar with and comply with the Wincanton customer service and administration policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and evaluate progress of employees during and post induction training, through discussions with the Individuals and Line Managers.
  • Delivers ad hoc workshops in line with business requirements.
  • Identifies employee training needs through monitoring and liaison with the Line Managers.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Evidence of creative thinking and problem solving.
  • Team player.
  • Hold a current & up to date Driver CPC
  • Ability to deliver complex information in a logical, simple and professional manner.
  • Excellent organisational skills & abilities.
  • Focused on business objectives of the site.
  • Flexible approach to work to ensure all delegates are covered. This may involve the occasional overnight stays and visits to other sites to assist in Training and Assessments.
  • Understanding of working partnerships within a site environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office packages
  • Previous training design and delivery experience within a fast paced, change orientated environment.
  • Certificate in Training Practice or equivalent training qualification.
